My directive as an artist is to engage and communicate the meaning that lies before our eyes, and yet we do not see. I attempt to point to the "numinous," which is characterized by the quintessential qualities of the sacred: mystery, awe, fascination, satisfaction, and inspiration.

Adam Scott Miller was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1984. Since childhood, his path as an artist was clear as he spent great spans of time in concentration rendering his imagination into existence on paper. He received a BFA in illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art and is currently finishing up an MFA in Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art. He resides in Baltimore, Maryland. His work has appeared in books, magazines, documentaries, album covers, galleries, and personal commissions.
